"My decision to join CHADEMA was not speculative" LOWASSA

 

Member of the executive committee of the main opposition party in Tanzania, CHADEMA, Edward Lowassa has revealed that President John Magufuli asked to return to the ruling CCM during their talks last week.

In a statement issued by the Association for Democracy and Development, CHADEMA, to the press Lowassa stated "mission of Western Magufuli was to convince me wanting me go CCM, an issue on which I disagree with and I told the President that my decision to's leaving the party to join CHADEMA was not speculative "

Last week, the leader of the opposition in Tanzania, who is also a former prime minister, met with the President of Tanzania, Dr John Magufuli palace with great admiration for the work he is doing.

It is an action that a surprise to many since it is not unusual for the leader to praise President Magufuli since long has been critical of his administration.

Mr Lowassa ran for President by the main opposition party in Tanzania Association for Democracy and Development (CHADEMA) in the general election of October 2015 but failed to Dr Magufuli who strive through CCM.
