The new annual universal list of universities has been announced, where the University of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is still leading.
Stanford and Harvard universities - also from the United States - have continued to hold second and third positions.
The list included nearly 1,000 universities.
Universities are evaluated by such topics as journals and published books, articles discussed, scholars' opinions as well as employers as well as the participation of universities at the international level.
Nairobi University has been listed between 801 and 1000 numbers, from 701 to 1000 last year, similar to Makerere University.
